Bernhard Krieg, CFA

Co-Founder & CIO

Bernhard Krieg has 25+ years of listed real estate securities industry experience. From 2009 to 2024 he was global portfolio manager and led Brookfield’s Listed Real Estate Securities team. During his tenure he oversaw significant outperformance and asset growth of both Brookfield’s Long/Short hedge fund and concentrated Long Only strategies. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2006, Bernhard was a Senior Vice President at Haven Funds and a Vice President at Security Capital. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Bernhard earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University and his undergraduate equivalent in Business Administration and Civil Engineering from the Technical University in Dresden, Germany.

Matthew Wenman has deep and wide-reaching investment management experience. During 18+ years at Brookfield’s Listed Real Estate Securities Group he held critical roles in operations, trading, research, analytics, and risk management. Most recently Matthew was a Client Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst for the firm’s listed real estate investment strategies. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
